Dr. Peter Higgins
Peter has been involved with the Cat Fancy in one way or another for over 20 years. He is a veterinarian and popular media personality, and is also a commentator and MC for many events. He completed the NSW CFA Companion Judges course in 2003 and since then he has officiated in the Companion Section at numerous shows in and around NSW.
Peter is the Official Veterinarian for the Cat Section at the Sydney Royal Easter Show, a role he has enjoyed for the past 15 years, and also gives talks on “Fun Days” at the Sydney Royal. He has vetted, exhibited, bred, judged, written and talked about cats and has enjoyed every minute of his varied and unique involvement with this magnificent animal. Peter has been involved with many breeds, including being the patron for the Burmese and Siamese Cat Societies. He currently owns a Devon Rex called Tilly.
