I have been involved with cats since early childhood.  In the early 1970s I obtained my first pedigreed cats, Siamese, and bred several litters under the prefix of Javotte, which was also my prefix for breeding Poodles and German Shepherds.  The Siamese were desexed and lived a long and happy life as pets.

In 1984, my husband bought me a beautiful Blue Point Himalayan. This was the start of my love affair with longhair cats and before long I was successfully exhibiting and breeding Himalayans and solid Persians with a new prefix – Kohinoor.

I became more involved with the Himalayan Cat Club Inc. and have held the position of President  since 1989, as well as serving as Show Secretary for a number of years<

In 1988 I became an RAS Cat Control Steward.

In 1995 I was elected to the NSW CFA Inc. Management Committee and remained on the Committee for 9 years.  During that time I served on a number of Sub-Committees (Stewards Committee, Breeds and Regulations Sub-Committee, Fundraising Sub-Committee and the NSW CFA Website Sub-Committee).

I successfully completed a Group 1 Judges Training Course in 1997 and I am licenced to judge all Group 1 exhibits.

I live with my husband on the beautiful mid north coast of NSW.  We share our home with the cats, a crazy black Miniature Poodle (who alternates between thinking that she is a cat one day and a human the next), and an energetic Doberman gentleman. We have three children and six grandchildren, so our lives are fairly busy.  My hobbies, when I find the time are stained glass, painting in water colours, gardening and reading.
