ATTENTION ALL MEMBERS The attention of all members is drawn to the updated ANIMAL WELFARE CODE OF PRACTISE – BREEDING CATS AND DOGS, effective 25 September 2009 issued by the NSW Department of Primary Industries. The Department has advised it is important that all members familiarise themselves with the Code, which outlines the principles that everyone involved in breeding cats must use to protect the welfare of the animals in their care. Breeders in NSW will be expected to conduct themselves in accordance with this Code of Practice and thus demonstrate their commitment and concern for the welfare of the animals in their care.
